The guys that commit rape aren’t men, they’re monsters.

It may be true to many of us that rapists are monstrous and inhuman, but in the end they are not, they are human; embedded in every part of our society, in our families, our institutions, our communities.
Rapists are often even given a respect of humanity that is constantly denied their victims. Rapists, and enablers and apologists as well, are continually the recipients of vouchers for humanity they actually lack, while simultaneously perpetuating more deadly dehumanization of survivors.
Victims/survivors are certainly more deserving of humanity than perpetrators, at any rate, you’re right about that.
